![]() James Phillip "Jamie" Thompson, 68, of Indian Head, passed away on July 14, 2010, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington DC. He retired from Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, Temple Hills, MD. He loved to play cards and pool, watch football and talking with family and friends.
Born June 18, 1942, in Newburg, MD, he was the son of the late Frank Bond, and Marguerite and Frank Thompson. In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by his life long companion Thelma E. Marshall. James joins into eternal rest with his siblings: Joseph "Pudney", Carl "Blackie", Margaret "Yvonne", Peggy Harley. His memory will be cherished by three sons, James Clifford (fiancée Kimberly), James Phillip, and Darnell (Ada); three daughters, Phyllis (Michael), Sheila, and Diane (Kevin); 14 grand-children, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Thompson and Christine Cooper; two sisters-in-law, Virgie Thompson and Pearline Thompson; one brother-in-law, William Cooper, and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives. In addition, Jamie leaves behind numerous friends and a long-time devoted friend Carlotta "Dottie." Visitation will be on Thursday, July 22, 10 a.m. and service following at 11 am: Fort Foote Baptist Church, 8310 Fort Foote Road, Fort Washington, MD 20744 – officiated by Pastor Joseph W. Lyles. The interment will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf MD. Arrangements are being handled by Thornton Funeral Home, PA, Indian Head, Maryland. |
