William Henry Cross, "Bill", 88 of Charlotte Hall, MD, died on June 20, 2010 at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.

Born on February 18, 1922 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Henry William and Hattie-Bell Beatrice Gorem-Cross. Mr. Cross was a Tailor. He also served in the U.S. Marines during WWII.

Survived by his sons, Gary A. Cross and Ronald Hinton, daughters, Theresa M. Henderson and Cheryl Cross-Davidson and a brother, Lewis Cross. Predeceased by his siblings, Melvin, Leonard, Aruther, Elizabeth, Larinda, Gertrude, Eleanor, and Rosetta, 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. and 2 great-great -grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
