Charles John DeMarr, 87, of White Plains, MD passed away peacefully at home on June 9, 2010. He was born on May 10, 1923 in Washington, D.C., the son of the late Claude DeMarr and the late Irene DeMarr.

He lived on a farm in White Plains until he moved to Baltimore County, MD in 1952. He worked as a Truck Driver for Harry T. Campbell Co. for 32 years until he retired in 1989 and moved back to the family farm in White Plains.

Charles loved spending time with his family and friends and talking with his morning coffee buddies at McDonald's. He also liked going to flea markets, gardening, and reading Western books.

He was son of the late Claude Leroy DeMarr and the late Irene Elizabeth DeMarr.

He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Blanche DeMarr, one son, John C. DeMarr, one son-in-law, Robert L. Hall, one grandson, Robert C. Hall, and three siblings, Raymond DeMarr, Olive Smith, and Joy Pancake.

He is survived by his wife, Henriette Annie DeMarr, five sons, David R. (Cathy) DeMarr, Sr. of White Plains, MD, Rocky J. (Robin) DeMarr of Abingdon, MD, Nicky F. DeMarr of White Plains, MD, Richard C. (Laura) DeMarr of Dundalk, MD, and Phillip A. (Kim) DeMarr of Pylesville, MD, three daughters, Janice Hall of La Plata, MD, Judy (Darrel) Hammonds of White Plains, MD, and Robin (Don) Shannon of Dundalk, MD, and two brothers, George Leroy DeMarr and Paul C. DeMarr, Sr., both of White Plains, MD. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 10am until Service time at 12pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Clergy will be the Rev. Mark Roberson

Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD

Pallbearers will be his sons and grandsons, Rocky, Nicky, Richard, Phillip, and David DeMarr, Jr., Rodney Hammonds, and Jared Childress.
