John "Hop" Allen Hopkins 75 of Cobb Island, Md. died on May 21, 2010 at his home. Mr. Hopkins was born on December 21, 1934 in Colonial Beach, Va. to the late Emmanual "E.G. and Isabelle Hopkins.

His brothers William and Donald Hopkins, Sisters Marjorie Hopkins, Elizabeth Conklin, and Marion Lemons also predecease him. He is survived by his loving Wife Nancy Hopkins, Son John Hopkins, Jr., Daughters Glinda Hopkins-Florendo and Lori Hopkins. Daughter-In-Law Irene Bakka, Brother Randolph Hopkins, Sister Patricia Rose, and four Grandchildren.

Mr. Hopkins Owned an office equipment sales and repair business and retired in 1992. He also enjoyed fishing, crabbing and seeing his grandchildren's sporting events.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday May 26th from 4 to 6pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 211 St. Mary's Ave. LaPlata, Md. 20646. Were funeral services will be held on Thursday May 27th at 11am. Interment to follow at the Popes Creek Church Cemetery in Virginia.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Charles County.
