Margaret "Nanny" Elizabeth Rutt, 92, of Charlotte Hall, MD died May 16, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD. Born November 3, 1917 in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of Tobias Erline and Edith Wyman Erline.

Mrs. Rutt owned and operated the Farmers Market in Mechanicsville, MD in the early 1950's until it was sold. She then worked in the Deli Department at McKay's Food Store in Charlotte Hall. "Nanny" was a devoted mother and grandmother and she loved the horse races.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Rutt was predeceased by her husband, Harry Edwin Rutt and a son, William Rutt; brothers, Elmer Erline and Dexter Erline and a sister, Phyllis Dexter.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith Margaret Cotter; sister, Helen Willingworth; niece, Edith Bedford and 1 grandson, Walter Cotter.

A graveside service will be held Friday, May 21, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD. The venerable Joseph H. Dobson, Jr. will officiate.
