Alexander Stephen Sventosky, 87, of Charlotte Hall, MD died January 3, 2007 in St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown, MD.
Born January 22, 1919 in New London, CT, he was the son of the late Stephen Sventosky. Mr. Sventosky resided in Connecticut most of his life where he worked at Electric Boat, Groton, CT as a senior draftsman. After 42 years of working he retired. He was also a longstanding member of St. Nicholas Church, Norwich, CT. He is survived by two daughter, Susan Guhl and her husband, John Calver, of Newport News, VA and Andrea Hampton and her husband, Lynn, of Callaway, MD, three grandchildren, Matthew Guhl of Newport News, VA, Kristin Grafmuller and her husband, Michael, of Newport News, VA, and Amanda Hampton of Callaway, MD, great- granddaughter, Emily Grafmuller of Newport News, VA, sister, Olga Butchka and her husband, Michael, of Uncasville, CT, and brother-in-law, George Moutran, of New London, CT. He is preceded in death by his wife, Neonila Sventosky, and his sister, Zena Moutran. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Norwich, CT. Interment will follow in Jordan Cemetery, Waterford, CT.
