BALL, CATINA (AGE 37) OF NANJEMOY, MARYLAND On Sunday, April 18, 2010 Catina Denise Ball (Tina), departed this life at home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Tina was born on April 23, 1973 in Washington, DC to the late Samuel and Helen Posey. She attended Charles County Public Schools and graduated from Lackey High School in 1991. Tina furthered her education at Charles County Community College studying Computer Technology. She was employed with the Charles County Government as a Procurement Specialist and supervised several interns for over ten years.

Tina was baptized at Mt Hope Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev Jesse B. Williams and continued to serve until her health failed. First and third Sundays were her favorites.

On May 3, 2003 Tina entered into holy matrimony with Shawn W. Ball. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister and friend. Tina was never to busy for family or friends. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, loved to shop and travel the different places (Niagara Falls, Disney World, Las Vegas and to Dallas/Redskins football games).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donnell Posey.

Tina leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Shawn W. Ball, two sons, Juwuan (Fred) and D'Angelo; sisters, Cherydale (Calvin) Savoy, Brenda Stevenson and Pamela Posey; two brothers, Kerry (Ann) Posey and Lionel (Rita) Poesy; brothers-in-law, James (Lauren) Ball, Clarence Ball and Brian (Lasata**) Ball: Father and Mother-in-Law, James and Mary Ball, two GOD Daughters, L'Oreal Threat and Ashley Warren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Her viewing will be held on Thursday, April 22nd, 10:00am until time of services 11:00am at Mount Hope Baptist Church, 8705 Gilroy Road, Nanjemoy, MD 20662. Interment Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., 3439 Livingston Road, Indian Head, MD.
