Amy LaRue Redmond, 89, of Faulkner, MD passed away at her residence on April 2, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Charles A. Bowling and Mary M. Bowling. Husband; Herbert N. Redmond. Brothers; Arnold Bowling, Charles Bowling, Jr., and Henry W. Bowling, Sr. Sisters; Clarabelle Umber, and Aliene Duncan.

She is survived by her Son; Herbie Redmond, Jr. (Lynne). Daughter; Betsy Franklin (Sam). Sisters; Victoria Cook, and Irma Graves. Grandchildren; Elizabeth Bailey (Mark), Catherine Franklin, Jason Redmond (Michelle), Brandon Redmond (Amy), and Lauren Ghabour (Edward). Great-Grandchildren; Catherine Bailey, Elise Bailey, Eva Bailey, Eddie Ghabour, Jr., Elijah Ghabour, Peirce Redmond, and Peyton Redmond.

Mrs. Redmond had retired as a Food Service Manager with the Charles County Board of Education. She had been a member of the 2 N 1 Club. She served on the Board for the Charles County Nursing Home. She had been a long standing member and past President of the Christ Church-Chaptico Parish. She had been a part of the Area Council on Aging for Charles County. Also, she had been a Treasurer of the State Association at the Richard Clark Senior Center.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 2-4 pm & 6-8 pm with prayers at 7:30 pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. A funeral service will be on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 11 am at the Christ Church-Chaptico Parish. Father Jessee Neat will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Donations may be made to either the Christ Church-Chaptico Parish, the Richard Clark Senior Center, or Hospice of Charles County.
