Nora R. Harvey, age 91, of North Beach, MD passed away April 1, 2010 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. Nora was born May 9, 1918 to John J. and Anna Mahoney O'Leary in Buffalo. NY.

She was raised in New York, attended Catholic school there, and married Stephen J. Harvey of Buffalo, NY. They lived in Washington, D.C., where she was employed at the Navy Yard. They later moved to Morningside, MD where they raised their family and where Nora was a member of the Morningside Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Nora was a devoted and loving mother to her children. She always pleased her family and friends with her "good home cooking." She loved her vegetable garden and grape vines and took pleasure in canning and making homemade jelly. During her lifetime she was an ardent fan of the New York Yankees and the Notre Dame "Fighting Irish" football team. Her great-grandchildren were a true source of joy to her, and brought her lots of smiles.

Nora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Steven J. Harvey, a son-in-law David Penn and by three sisters and three brothers.

She is survived by her son Richard N. Harvey and wife Annelie of Seattle, WA; daughters Mary Ann Penn of Owings and Rita M. Pinedo and husband Bob of Amsterdam, The Netherlans; grandchildren Petra Harvey, Stefen Harvey, Joseph Penn, William Penn, Colleen Cano, Nora Shockley and David Pinedo and Shoshana Pinedo.
