Paul P. Merkle, Jr., 71, of Lusby, MD passed away on March 16, 2010 at Calvert County Nursing Center. Paul was born on June 21, 1938 in Takoma Park, MD to the late Ruth Milburn and Paul P. Merkle Sr. He was an avid trumpet player and played in several local bands. He had a great love for his family and his church family.

Beloved husband of 33 years of Betty Merkle, father of Kevin Merkle ( Laura) of St. Leonard, MD, Susan Penn of Lusby, Karen Penn of Lusby and Colleen Fox (Mark) of St. Leonard, MD. Grandfather of Nicole Merkle, Christopher and Matthew Fox, he is also survived by a brother, Robert Merkle (Elizabeth) of St. Leonard, MD 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday March 20, 2010, 11 A.M. at Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, 890 Main Street Prince Frederick, MD. Interment will be private.
