Audrey May Hooper, 94, a lifelong resident of Calvert County, died March 3, 2010 at Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick. She was born October 20, 1915 in Stoakley, MD to James Arthur and Myrtie Howard Buckler.

She was raised in Stoakley and attended Calvert County public schools.

She married Estep Hooper in December 1932, and they moved to his family farm in Huntingtown, MD where they lived and raised their family.

Mr. Hooper died in the early 1960's and Audrey remained in Huntingtown until her recent illness. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her many nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed cooking, canning and playing "Yahtzee".

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband Estep, sisters Mildred Hutchins, Catherine Edwards, Ruth Rowe, Irma Nathan, Vivian Buckler and Henrietta Walton, and brothers Bobby and Billy Buckler.

She is survived by her son Charles W. Hooper with whom she lived in Huntingtown, a brother James Arthur "Tinky" Buckler, Jr. and his wife Mozelle of Baltimore, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews.
