Richard R. Burggraff " Rick", 63, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away on March 4, 2010 at his home.

Rick had many interests, he loved motorcycles, farming, crabbing and fishing, and most of all teaching his grandchildren how to play chess. He was a member of Jesus the Divine Word Catholic Church in Huntingtown, MD.

Beloved husband of Ruth Ann Burggraff, of Prince Frederick, father of Kimberly Hutchins and her husband David Sr. of Benedict, MD, Tammy McCourt and her husband Richard of Prince Frederick MD, Robert Burggraff of Prince Frederick, MD and Stacey Newman and her husband Timothy of Prince Frederick, MD Grandfather of Richard, Jacob, and Thomas McCourt, David and John Hutchins.

He is also survived by his brothers, William of Germany, John of Alexandria VA, David of Arizona and James Burggraff of Vienna VA.

The family will receive friends on Sunday March 7, 2010 at the Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic, MD from 2-5 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday March 8, 2010, AM at Jesus the Divine Word, 885 Cox Road, Huntingtown, MD. Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery, Barstow, MD.
