Lena Kolu Momolu, 67, of Waldorf, MD, died February 22, 2010, at her residence.

Mrs. Momolu was a teacher with the Ministry of Education in Liberia for 30 years and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in La Plata. She was a seamstress and a devoted christian. A very loving and compassionate mother.

Born August 9, 1942, in Monrovia, Liberia, she was the daughter of the late Korlowuo Mulvah and the late Gaydou Endou.

Predeceased by her parents; and her husband, William Wingate Momolu.

Survived by sons, Solomon E. Momolu, Sr., Sumo S. Momolu, and Victor N. Momolu, all of Liberia; daughters, Yamah and her husband Zaebele Zaza of Waldorf, MD; Jetty Momolu of Toledo, OH; Hawa Momolu of Liberia; and Una K. and her husband Samuel Thompson of Liberia; brothers, Flomo Mulbah, Samuel Momolu, and Lavela McCkay, all of Liberia; sister, Mama K. Stevens, of NC. Also survived by nine grandchildren.

Friends received on Friday, March 5, 2010, from 7:30-10:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church, 1200 Charles Street, La Plata, MD.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 10AM, at Grace Lutheran Church.

Rev. Charles Long will officiate.

Interment will be at Heritage Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
