Saide M. Berry, 80, of Waldorf, MD, died February 11, 2010, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata.

Mrs. Berry was an accounting technician for 22 years with the Navy Department and a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Waldorf, MD. She was also a member of the Waldorf Jaycees. She loved music, dancing, shopping, ceramics, crocheting, and swimming.

Born December 4, 1929, in Radom, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Yahya Melekoglu and the late Emine Melekoglu.

Predeceased by her parents; husband, Robert E. Berry Veramendi; grandson, Jonathan M. Berry.

Survived by her son, Robert E. Berry, Jr., of Fredericksburg, VA; daughters, Elizabeth C. Veramendi of Waldorf, MD and Barbara M. Berry of Waldorf, MD; brothers, Ali Melekoglu of Adelphi, MD; Ahmet Melekoglu of Hedgesville, WV. Also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 18, 2010, from 6-8 PM with Wake Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 19, 2010, at 1PM, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Waldorf, MD.

Monsignor Bill Parent will officiate.

Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
