Through the military, he traveled the world, where he was introduced to different types of people and culture.
Prior to his departure in the military, Thomas met his current wife, Joyce. They soon married and through their union came two sons. Thomas enjoyed fishing, swimming, scuba diving and working on cars. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Charles Blandford and brother, Benjamin. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 45 years, Joyce Blandford; two sons, Joel "Jerard" Blandford and Brian (Stephanie) Blandford and one granddaughter, Briana Blandford; his mother, Lucille Blandford; three brothers, Charles Blandford II (Burnette), Theodore Blandford and Bert Blandford; four sisters, Lorraine (Charles) Collins, Vicki Blandford, Jeanette Smith, and Jerusha (Rudy) Proctor and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
