Jennifer Lockrane Taylor, 37, of La Plata passed away January 25th at Civista Medical Center. She was the daughter of James Edward Taylor of Arbutus and Penelope June Arbin of La Plata.

Jennifer was born June 28, 1972 in Baltimore, MD and spent many childhood summers in Ocean City, MD. She graduated from McDonough High School in Pomfret in 1990.

Jenny had a special love for animals and could always be counted on to care for a stray or unwanted animal. She found her beloved dog Effie on the street and spent many years loving and caring for her.

She spent most of her career in the hospitality industry, planning and catering many beautiful weddings and events. Jenny had just recently returned to the College of Southern Maryland to earn her degree. Jenny attended LifeStream Church of the Nazarene in Waldorf and especially enjoyed the friends she found in her Tuesday Night Small Group.

Jennifer is survived by her mother and stepfather, Butch and Penny Arbin; her father and stepmother, Jim and Debbie Taylor; maternal grandparents, Virgil and Idoline Lough; siblings Katie, Michael, Jimmy, Steve, Kimmie and Keith; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, and her best friend Slater. She will be dearly, dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 6th, 12 noon at LifeStream Church of the Nazarene in Waldorf, MD. A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LifeStream Church of the Nazarene or the Humane Society of Charles County.
