On Wednesday, December 27, 2006, Clinton J. Jackson, Sr. of Indian Head, Maryland quietly departed this life for one eternal at the Waldorf Center.
Clinton was born on April 9, 1915 in Nanjemoy, Maryland to George Jackson and Mary Marbury Jackson. He attended Charles County Public Schools and was employed by the Hubert Raby Trash Collector.
Clinton is preceded in death by his children, Mary Jackson, James Jackson, and Charles Bowman, siblings, Mary Thomas, Mable Lee, Linwood Marbury, Fred Jackson, and brother-in-law, Steve Thomas.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Blanche Jackson, children, Lucille Dyson, Barbara Burroughs, Elmer Jackson, Robert Tate, Emanuel Tate, Clinton Jackson, Jr., George Jackson, Joann Jackson, Paulette Jackson, Theresa Montgomery, Lisa Jackson, John Jackson, David Jackson, and Norman Patterson. Also surviving are 106 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren, brother, Henry Marbury, brother-in-law, Andrew Lee, and other relatives and friends.
His viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd, 10:00a.m. until time of service 11:00a.m. at the Thornton Funeral Home, P.A. Chapel, Rte 227, Pomonkey, Maryland. Interment St. Charles Cemetery, Glymont, Maryland.
