Mary Vivian "Nookie" Stine, 91, of White Plains, MD, died January 26, 2010, at Charles County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, La Plata, MD.

Mary Vivian graduated from La Plata High School in 1935. She was employed with Peoples Life Insurance / Peoples Security for over 40 years as the Office Manager. Following her retirement she volunteered many hours at the Clark Senior Center, Meals on Wheels and at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Piney Parish.

Born December 9, 1918, in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Vivian Eugene Roberts and the late Nora Elspeth Darg Roberts.

Predeceased by her parents; husband, Frank "Kaiser" Stine; sister, Dorothy Ivy.

Survived by her son, Frank Eugene and his wife Louise Stine of La Plata, MD; grandmother of Joseph and his wife Susan Stine and Janet and her husband Theodore Herilla; great-grandmother of Blake Stine, Ryan Herilla, Molly Stine and Meghan Herilla. Also survived by niece, Patsy Spinks of LA.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2010, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with prayers at 6:30PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD. Funeral Service will be Monday, February 1, 2010, at 11AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Waldorf, MD. Rev. Joy Rose will officiate. Interment will be in Church Cemetery.
