Thomas Anthony "Tommy" Gott, 51, of Chesapeake Beach, MD died suddenly on January 19, 2010 at his residence. Tommy was born October 14, 1958 in Cheverly, MD to Lucia A. (Leone) and Mansfield Edward Gott, Sr.

He was raised in Chesapeake Beach and attended Beach Elementary and Northern High School. He was a self employed remodeling carpenter. Tommy loved fishing and crabbing, and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. He also won local recognition for his outdoor Christmas holiday lights and decorations displayed at his residence. Tommy also enjoyed spending time with family, and was especially devoted to his nieces and nephews.

Tommy is survived by his mother, Lucia A. Leone Gott of Chesapeake Beach, his father Mansfield Edward Gott, Sr. of Cocoa Beach, FL, brothers Mansfield "Luke" Gott II of Chesapeake Beach, James A. Gott of Beltsville, MD and George James "JJ" Gott of LaPlata, MD, and by his sister Debbie A. Gott O'Dell of Chesapeake Beach. He is also survived by nieces Courtney Gaddi and Amanda, Christina and Shelby Gott, and nephews Mansfield Gott III, Joshua Gott, Kannon Cummings, George O'Dell, Jr., Michael O'Dell and Ryan Gott.

Friends may call at Rausch Funeral Home, P.A., 8325 Mt. Harmony Lane, Owings, MD on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, where funeral services and a celebration of Tommy's life will be held Monday January 25 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Emmanuel U.M. Church Cemetery in Huntingtown.
