Gerald Andrew "Jerry" Messineo, 55, of Chesapeake Beach, MD died December 23, 2009 at the Mandrin Chesapeake Hospice House in Harwood, MD. Jerry was born September 28, 1954 in Cheverly, MD to Jack and Frances Messineo.

He was raised in Prince George's County and attended Suitland High School. He served in the US Army from November 5, 1973 until being discharged as a Specialist 4th Class on November 4, 1976. He married Kimberly Ann Brown on June 22, 1985, and they lived in Greenbelt and Lothian prior to moving to Chesapeake Beach in 2001. Jerry was employed as a purchasing agent and manager for Vortech, an electric cabling and security company located in Beltsville, MD. In his spare time Jerry enjoyed the water, boating, fishing and crabbing. He also enjoyed computers, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father Jack Messineo.

He is survived by his wife Kim; a daughter Amanda Messineo and son Gerald Messineo, Jr., both of the home in Chesapeake Beach, a daughter Angela Messineo and son Steven Messineo, both of Glen Burnie, MD; his mother Frances Messineo of Arnold, MD; sisters Doreen Crawford of Arnold and Sandra Crowe of North Carolina, and a brother Steven Messineo of North Carolina.
