![]() Mr. Goodrick was a retired Tech. Sergeant with the United States Air Force, having served for 20 years from 1950-1970. He was also a retired Postal Worker for the Alexandria, VA Post Office, having served there for 20 years. He was a past member of the Upper Marlboro Kennel Club and the VFW Post in Baltimore, MD. He was an avid Redskins fan and he enjoyed taking care of his lawn and garden.
He was son of the late Lewis Goodrick and the late Pearl Jones Goodrick He was predeceased by his parents and his late wife, Margaret "Peggy" Goodrick, two brothers, Frederick and Donald Goodrick, and three sisters, Margaret and Mary Goodrick and Betty Hulbert. He is survived by his daughter, Marie Pickett of Port Tobacco, MD, three brothers, William Goodrick of Gambrills, MD, Robert Goodrick of Ill., and Danny Goodrick, two sisters, Louise Denny of Waldorf, MD, and Anna Curren of Suitland, MD, and one grandson, John Robert Pickett. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2010 from 6-8pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. A Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 7:30pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate. Interment will follow on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 11:30am at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD. Honorary Pallbearers will be the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
