Charles W. "Charlie" Dossey, age 60, died December 28, 2009 at his residence in Chesapeake Beach, MD due to complications of muscular dystrophy. Charlie was born March 26, 1949 in Washington, D.C., and lived in numerous places where his father was stationed in the military.

His family settled in Montgomery County, MD and Charlie graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Wheaton, MD, class of 1967. He also attended Montgomery Junior College for several years, and he was a singer in several bands during the 1960's and 1970's. He enjoyed watching old movies and playing card games, and was an Elvis and Beatles fan. He also enjoyed sports, and was a Baltimore Orioles and Washington Redskins fan. He was formerly employed as an accounting assistant and mailroom manager for the American Defense Preparedness Association in Rosslyn, VA, but had been unable to work due to his medical condition for several years.

Charlie is survived by his wife Barbara Sue (Boucher) Dossey, whom he married April 25, 1981, twin sons Shane M. and Paul W. Dossey, all of the home. He is also survived by two sisters, Regina Vengrow of Florham Park, New Jersey and Melinda Cole of Thornton, CO, and by a brother Thomas Dossey-McKinnon of Damascus, MD.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Evelyn Dossey and by a sister Marilyn Herr.
