Warren James Luke, 85, of La Plata, MD, died December 28, 2009, at Charlotte Hall Veterans' Home, Charlotte Hall, MD.

Mr. Luke was a social worker for the DC Government for 25 years and a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, having served during World War II. He was a graduate of American University in Washington, DC with a degree in economics. His hobbies included flying, automobiles, and movie photography.

Born May 13, 1924, in Hoosick Falls, NY, he was the son of the late James Theodore Luke and the late Etta Austin Luke.

Predeceased by his parents.

Survived by his wife, Betty Wilson Luke; son, Andrew and his wife Patricia Luke of MA; daughter, Linda Love of NV; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 5, 2010, from 1-2PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at 2PM, at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Rev. Bruce Jones will officiate.

Interment will be at a later date at MD Veterans' Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
