Richard Arnold Buckler, Sr., 65 of Hollywood, MD died on December 11, 2009 at his residence.

Born on April 22, 1944 in Charlotte Hall, MD, he was the son of the late Raymond Alfred and Mamie Minunett Cusick Buckler. Mr. Buckler was a Mechanic for South End Garage. He lived and worked on the Chapplear Farm since the age of 6 until he was 63. He also drove a bus for St. John's Catholic School. Richard restored a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 Fast Back. He also was a member of Mechanicsville Moose Lodge. Some of his enjoyments were playing the guitar, fiddle, and mandalin. He loved cutting grass for other people. Helping other people brought him joy.

Survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Ryce Buckler, children, Richard A. Buckler, Jr. "Ricky", Tamala A. Thompson, "Tammy", and husband, Mark, and Tracy S. Cusic, grandchildren, Richard Wayne and Kristy Pilkerton, Dawn, Dallas, and Kayla Buckler, and Heather Cusic, and two great-grandchildren, Devin and Shane Lagana.

Predeceased by siblings, Joe, Leroy, Sr., Adrin, and Earl Buckler, a grandchild, Derrick A. Buckler, and a son-in-law, Gene Cusic.

Family will receive friends on Friday, December 18, 2009 from 10-12 Noon at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon with Monsignor Karl Chimiak officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Mike, Lil Mike, Sonny Buckler, Hank, Jeff, and Jr. Buckler. Honorary pallbearers will be: Joseph Raymond Buckler, Billy Demarr, Sonny Ryce, and Dickie Pilkerton.

In lieu of flowers, family is asking for memorial donations to be made to BB&T Bank, C/O Richard Buckler, 23415 Three Notch Rd., Suite 2060, California, MD 20619.
