John William Mister, Sr., 68, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away on December 19, 2006 at Washington Hospital Center.

Beloved husband of Mary Bell Goldsmith Mister, devoted father of John W. Mister, Jr. and Gerald R. Mister, Grandfather of Amanda, Charlie, Shelby, Jennifer, Lauren, Cory and Ryan Mister. Brother of Hagner R. Mister, James R. Mister, Diane Jones, Joseph A. Mister, Wayne Mister, the late Margaret Ann Hancock and the late Lillie Mae Richardson.

Billy was born on August 5, 1938 in Prince Frederick, MD to the late Norman Reid and Margaret Horsmon Mister, Billy was Honorably discharged from the Army on Dec. 31, 1964. He retired from SMECO-OP and was a member of 2nd District Rescue Squad, Co. 4, Prince Frederick.

The family received friends at the Rausch Funeral Home, Port Republic, MD. on Friday Dec. 22, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral services were held on Saturday Dec. 23, 2006, 11 A.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church, Prince Frederick, MD. Interment followed in Asbury Cemetery, Barstow, MD. Pallbearers were Ronny Wood, Tommy Rawlings, Sonny Brady, Frankie Cochrane, Jim Bowie and Joe Mister.
