![]() Betty Young Watson, 78 of Brandywine, MD died on November 23, 2009 from injuries sustained in a car accident. Born on July 18, 1931 in Baltimore, MD, Betty was the daughter of the late Page Gibbons and Ruth Lenore Carter Young of Aquasco.
Betty Watson was a homemaker who lived in Baden for over 65 years. She was an avid, lifelong reader who enjoyed discussing the books she read. She loved to travel, and especially enjoyed having friends and family for dinner. She and her husband of nearly 60 years, Phil Watson, held an open house at their home in Baden on Christmas morning for the last 58 years. Recently she and her husband enjoyed a Caribbean cruise celebrating their 59th anniversary. Betty was a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband Philip Clyde Watson, Sr.; her sister, Virginia Richards and husband Raymond Richards; her children, Patricia Watson Dolesh and husband Richard Dolesh; Philip C. Watson, Jr.; Ruth Watson Tabb and husband James Tabb; daughter Carolyn Virginia Watson and partner Ginny Stominski; grandchildren Heather Plutschak and husband Brad Plutschak, Matthew, Mark, and Michael Dolesh, and two great-grandchildren, Hayden Bradley and Molly Ruth Plutschak. The Watson family will receive friends to celebrate Betty's life on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 17400 Aquasco Rd., Brandywine, MD 20613 with Reverend James Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Richard, Matthew, Mark, and Michael Dolesh, Jim Tabb, and Brad Platschak.
