Frances Weiland "Sookie" Goldsborough, 67, of Leonardtown, MD, died on January 29, 2006 at her home.

Born on February 23, 1938 in Leonardtown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Gertrude Vallandingham Weiland. She was a 1956 graduate of St. Mary's Academy. Sookie attended War Flynn Beauty College and operated the Pretty Parlor in Leonardtown, retiring in 1988. Her hobbies included raising English Boxwoods, antiques and decorating.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank C. Goldsborough on January 29, 2005. She is survived by three daughters, Anne Tiburzi of Leonardtown, MD, Melissa Geimer of Tempe, AZ , Frankie Colville of Kensington, MD, two sisters, Katherine W. Anderson of Leonardtown, MD, Mary G. "Puddin" Hayden of Bushwood, MD, five brothers, Lawrence A. "Bunky" Weiland of Branson, MO, Joseph M. Weiland of Leonardtown, MD, Patrick X. Weiland of Annapolis, MD, Mark V. Weiland of LaVale, MD and Allen B. Weiland of Leonardtown, MD.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady's Church, Medley's Neck, Leonardtown, MD. The Reverend John Mattingly will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Weiland, Joe Mike Weiland, Pat Weiland, Duane Weiland, Mark Weiland, Tom Bond and Jack Bond.
