Richard Albert Kalinowski, 70, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away November 13, 2009 at the Washington Adventist Hospital. Born December 15, 1938 in Weirton, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Samuel Kaniss and Geneva Paholek Simone.

Mr. Kalinowski served in the U.S. Air Force and later worked as a Service Cashier for Ourisman Chevrolet for 44 years. He moved to Southern Maryland from Washington, D.C. in 1972. He was a Steelers fan who loved his cigars, working around the house and putting things together. Spending time with his family was special.

Mr. Kalinowski is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandra Gail Brewer Kalinowski; his mother, Geneva Simone; daughter, Kendra D. Lyon and her husband, Scott Lyon; brother, Robert Kalinowski, Jr. and 2 grandchildren, Jonathan D. Lyon and Bradley S. Lyon.

The family will receive friends for Richard's Life Celebration on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 11:30a.m. by the Rev. Rory T. Conley at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD.
