![]() LEWIS, AGNES CLEMENTINE SAVOY "Tee-Tee' AGE 70, OF WALDORF, MD.
Agnes Clementine Lewis was born on February 4, 1939 in Washington, D.C. to John Richard Savoy and Agnes Lucille Savoy who both preceded her in death. She was called to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 1, 2009 in the presence of her family. Agnes better known as "Tee-Tee" was the baby girl of five children. She had one sister, Mary B. and three brothers, John "Lumpy", James "Weasel" and George "Big Butch". She loved her sister and brothers very much and would talk with them constantly. They will surely miss her. She attended Bel Alton School and had various jobs consisting of school bus driver, babysitting and assisting anyone who was in need. She loved to help and meet people. She met her husband, Evert Preston Lewis, they were married in 1976 and moved to Dahlgren, Virginia, and renewed their vows in 1998. She touched the lives of many people. She had a kindness for everyone. She would open her home and heart to anyone in need. If you needed it, she would give it. If you asked, she would do it. If you were in pain, she would comfort you. She had a way that made a lasting impression. Her smile, joking remarks and just being herself would radiate. Once you came into her presence, when you left, you would not be the same. She has two beloved daughters, Jessie and Katrina, and yet had enough love to extend to others. She took care and raised many children that have become adults and have children. She loved to play cards under the tree in the yard and just sit and talk with her neighbors. During cookouts she would always say, "I just cooked a little something" and knew it would be a full meal. Anybody that came around always knew their would be some food there, especially her corn and rice pudding. After being in Virginia for years, she and her husband moved to Waldorf, Maryland to reside. On Sunday, November 1, 2009, due to failed health she departed this life at Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, Maryland in the presence of her family. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Evert Preston Lewis, two daughters, Jessie Gurley and Katrina Jackson, one son-in-law, Earl Gurley, two grandchildren, Latory West (Reginald) and James E. Gurley, Jr. (AJ), one sister, Mary B., three brothers, John Savoy (Shena), James Savoy (Marthea) and George Calvin Savoy (Cheryldale), two uncles, William Bowman and George b.
