Mr. Norman Herbert Thibeault, age 72 of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2009. Mr. Thibeault was born on April 7, 1937 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Philip Francis Thibeault and the late Betsy White Thibeault.

He is preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Raymond Thibeault, Robert Thibeault, Dorothy Codraro, Geraldine Schlosser, Roy Thibeault and Edward Thibeault.

Mr. Thibeault was a veteran of the United States Navy. On June 10, 1961, he married Frances Harriet Lee at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Prince Frederick, Maryland where he was a member. Mr. Thibeault served as an usher and attended church regularly until his health prevented his attendance. He spent many active years with the American Theatre Organ Society (ATOS).

Family was a very important part of his life and he considered his in-laws as his own parents due to the loss of his father at a young age. Mr. Thibeault was a very proud father and loved to share life with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. He worked as a carpentry craftsman until retirement in 2003. He loved to go boating, work on antique cars, go to flea markets and go camping in the RV that he and Frances owned for many years. Mr. Thibeault enjoyed spending holidays with family and took over the "grandparent role" for five young nephews. Mr. Thibeault enjoyed being with Frances and sharing good times. He never turned down an opportunity for dancing until his health prevented it. They spent many hours boating on the nearby waters and taking family trips to his hometown of Springfield, Massachusetts. He enjoyed bringing the RV over to the farm for "over home visits" and took a cross country train ride in October 2002 to attend a family wedding. He took wonderful care of Frances as her health declined; becoming "Mr. Housewife" and learning to shop, cook and keep the household running; which were all new tasks to him. Mr. Thibeault served as nurse, doctor and ambulance driver as the need arose. He developed wonderful bandaging skills and medical knowledge and was very supportive in obtaining any treatment that might better Frances' condition and lessen her pain and suffering. Mr. Thibeault spent many days and nights by her hospital bedside, so she would not be alone. He and Frances chose to move to Newnan, Georgia in March, 2007 to have more time with their daughter and her family.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Frances Lee Thibeault of Griffin, Georgia and daughter and son-in-law Mary and Chris Buzzeo and granddaughters Amanda Buzzeo and Caitlin Buzzeo, all of Fayetteville, Georgia. He is also survived by brothers Paul Thibeault of Monroe, Connecticut; Ronald Thibeault of Wilbraham, Massachusetts; Larry Thibeault of Big Springs, Texas; Frank Thibeault of East Longmeadow, Massachusetts; Clifford Thibeault of Haines City, Florida and sisters Jean Thibeault of Coventry, Rhode Island and Claire Dondley of Westfield, Massachusetts as well as many loving brother-in-laws, sister in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Mr. Thibeault will be conducted at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Prince Frederick, Maryland on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 am until the funeral hour. Interment will immediately follow in Central Cemetery in Barstow, Maryland.

Flowers may be sent to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or memorials can be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, PO Box 99, Prince Frederick, MD 20678 in memory of Mr. Thibeault.

Rausch Funeral Home of Port Republic, Maryland is in charge of arrangements.
