Mrs. Varnell was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo, lottery, gardening, cooking, and watching soap operas on the TV. She most enjoyed being with her kids and grandkids.

Daughter of the late Robert Beach and the late Marion Ridgeway.

Predeceased by her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.

Survived by her husband of 54 years, Roy R. Varnell, Sr.; four sons, Roy R. Varnell, Jr., of La Plata, MD, Rocky R. (Bonnie) Varnell of Port St. Lucie, FL, Rodey R. (Cathi) Varnell of Brandywine, MD, and Ronald S. Varnell of La Plata, MD; sister of Raymond Beach of Baltimore, MD, Arthur Beach of NJ, and Johnny Beach of WV, Frances Grazier of Pomfret, MD, and Stella Monchin of PG County. Also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation: Friday, October 23, 2009 from 5-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Funeral Service: Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers: her sons.

Interment: Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Trinity Memorial Gardens - Waldorf, MD.
