We saw you quickly fade away; we tried so hard to make you stay. But GOD was watching from above and called you home to share his love…

Esther Marie (Bauldock) Glover was granted her angel wings on September 25, 2009 at the age of 65. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she had touched throughout her very memorable life.

Esther was born to the late George and Elizabeth (Hargrove) Bauldock on June 6, 1944 in Slickville, Pennsylvania where she lived until she was six years old. She spent the rest of her young adulthood in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Esther received her diploma from Overbrook High School and upon graduation she attended business school.

In 1965, she met Earl Glover while they both were employed at a department store in Philadelphia. Earl was a full time military officer working part-time with Esther. They later married on August 25, 1967 and from this union, Esther gave birth to her only son, Brian, at the age of 28.

Esther had a great eye for combining distinct pieces of art to create a warm and beautiful atmosphere. She loved entertaining friends, enjoying music and the arts, and practicing her strong religious based Baptist faith that she and her family were deeply rooted in during her rearing. Esther was a mentor to many of her friends and family, she always had a loving and positive word. She dedicated her life to serving others working in the social services field where she was loved and admired by both clients and coworkers.

As a loving wife, Esther accompanied her husband across the country as a part of his military service visiting many cities and states including New Orleans, Hawaii, Florida, and New York. During Earl's military duty, he and Esther lived in Philadelphia, Virginia Beach VA, Gulfport MS, Norfolk VA, Washington DC, and retired in Accokeek, Maryland.

Esther was preceded in death by two sisters: Elise and Virginia and one brother, Franklin.

Those left to cherish her precious memory include her husband, Earl of 42 years of marriage, her son, Brian, her sisters: Naomi, Eva, Emma Jean (Robert), and Dorothy, and her brothers: Delbert and Robert; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
