John Charles "JC" Kabosky, age 81, of Mechanicsville, Maryland died September 28, 2009. Born October 13, 1927 in Cumberland, Maryland, loving husband of Alice Joyce Kabosky and son of Henry J. Kabosky and Frances E. Deter Kabosky.

Mr. Kabosky served in the Unites States Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Tarawa and received the Victory Medal and the American Area Campaign Medal. Mr. Kabosky was a member of St. Frances DeSales Church, Benedict, Maryland and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Immaculate Conception Council 8159 and was very involved in their charitable projects. He loved the water and enjoyed boating, water-skiing and fishing. He was a loyal Washington Redskins fan. Watching his children play sports was a special interest.

Besides his parents, Mr. Kabosky was predeceased by his brothers, Louis Aloysius Kabosky and Michael Paul Kabosky. He is survived by his wife, Alice Joyce Kabosky; son, John H. Kabosky of Chattanooga, TN; daughters, Katrina M. Kabosky Kern of Poolesville, MD and Karena Kabosky Kelley of Carlsbad, CA; sisters, Dolores E. Kabosky Blackwell, Louise Kabosky Stasinos, Rita M. Kabosky Mazzacone and Lois Ann Kabosky Banscher; 5 granddaughters, Ariel, Arden, Alison, Christiana and Morgan Mary. He was the uncle of 35 nieces and nephews any many grand nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 11:00a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 28297 Old Village Rd., Mechanicsville, MD. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Mary's County, P.O. Box 625, Leonardtown, MD 20650.
