Doyle Dean Dilgard, 85, of Waldorf, MD, died September 23, 2009, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Mr. Dilgard was a retired Aerial Engineer with the United States Air Force, having served for 23 years. He was also a member of the Masons and The Eastern Star.

Born April 9, 1924, in Ashland, OH, he was the son of the late Clarence H. Dilgard and the late Hazel Fay Allenbaugh Dilgard.

Predeceased by his parents; his late wife, Edna E. Richardson Dilgard; and his brothers, Forest and Paul Dilgard.

Survived by daughters, Carol Sue and her husband Douglas Fike of OH; Lila Statler of NC; and Grace and her husband William Thrift of Mechanicsville, MD; and brother, Jerry Lee and his wife Mary Dilgard of MA. Also survived by nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 11, 2009, from 6-8PM at the Raymond Funeral Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646.

Masonic Funeral Service will be Wednesday, November 11, 2009, at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Interment will be Thursday, November 12, 2009, at 11AM at Arlington National Cemetery.
