Dennis Olen Dunn, 54, of Cobb Island, MD, died September 7, 2009, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Mr. Dunn graduated from Wakefield High School in 1973. After graduation he worked for the Department of Defense, Army Division, for 37 years. Dennis grew up with a real love for cooking, camping, fishing, hunting, tinkering with many projects, biking and boating, which brought him to Cobb Island, MD, where he has resided for the last two years. Cobb Island was a comforting and loving home on the water for this free spirit who loved to help anyone at anytime to live, laugh and love. Dennis will be loved and remembered forever.

Born December 3, 1954, in Arlington, VA, he was the son of late George G. Dunn and late Mary Maxine Milam Dunn.

Predeceased by his parents; brother, Gary Dunn.

Survived by his son, Daniel Dunn; daughters, Olivia Dunn and Victoria Sleeper; beloved partner, Lynne Dennison and her two daughters Casey and Jessica. Also survived by his brother, Kent Dunn; sister, Bonnie Lyon; grandchildren, Jason Sleeper, Jr. and Garrett Alexander; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be September 19, 2009, at 11AM at Pirates Den Marina, Cobb Island. Rev. Rick Hunt will officiate.

Interment will be private.
