Hemsley, Donna Bonita Wallace (Age 45) of Waldorf, Maryland.

Donna Bonita Wallace-Hemsley, affectionately known as "Gay", of Waldorf, MD, was called home to be with the Lord on September 1, 2009. Gay was born August 15, 1964, in La Plata, Maryland, to the late Johnson C. and Ethel M. Wallace. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Anthony R. "Tiger" Hemsley and two brothers, Lance Oliver and Laven Wallace.

Growing up in the small town of Pisgah, MD, she attended Charles County Public Schools and was proud to represent her alumni "Lackey High." Throughout the years, she found time for personal enrichment as well. She received her Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from the College of Southern Maryland as well as Realtors Certification from the State of Maryland.

In her spare time she enjoyed the water, crabbing, fishing and visiting Atlantic City. Whenever she was home, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Donna was a caring, generous and loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. With a heart of gold and a unique personality, we can say Donna will truly be missed.

Donna is survived by a loving daughter, LaTasha Briscoe, son-in-law Owen; devoted son, Mitchell Dorsey; and precious grandchildren, Jasmyn Briscoe, Anthony, Jada, and Rose Bonita Dorsey; brothers, John and Anton Wallace; sisters, Renita McNack, Rita Posey and Priscilla Coby; brothers-in-law, Curtis, Lionel and Dale; sisters-in-law, Annie and Deirdre; Aunts and Uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing, Tuesday, September 8, 2009, 8:00 to 9:30am, Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 St. Mary's Avenue, La Plata, Maryland. Interment, St Charles Cemetery, Glymont, Maryland.
