![]() THOMPSON, CHARLES LIN (AGE 69) OF WELCOME, MARYLAND
On Friday, August 14, 2009 at the Civista Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland God called one of his Angels home. Charles Lin Thompson, more affectionately known as Lin was the son of the late Jeremiah and the late Elizabeth Ida Proctor Thompson. Lin was educated in the Charles County Public Schools. He worked for the Exxon Service Station at the corner of Route 5 and Route 925 in Waldorf, Maryland for 35 years. Lin married Mary "Ruth" Thompson on November 18, 1961. Out of their love six children were born – John "Jerry" Thompson, Mary "Ann" Thompson-Douglas, Margaret Thompson-Proctor, Elizabeth "Ida" Thompson and the late Carolyn Thompson and the late Carol "Lisa" Thompson-Bond. Lin enjoyed fishing, playing cards and hanging out with his family and friends. His favorite saying to all his grandchildren was "Go in the back Room". In addition to his parents and two daughters, Lin was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, four brothers, two sisters, mother and father-in-law, five brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law. Lin leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife of 48 years, Mary "Ruth" Thompson, his children, John "Jerry" Thompson, Mary "Ann" Thompson-Douglas, Margaret Thompson-Proctor and Elizabeth "Ida" Thompson, four sons-in-law, twelve grandchildren, Jannette "Pumpkin", Mandell Jr. "Man", Cynthia "Tootie", Charles "Pee Wee", Monica "Mousey", Michelle "Cookie", Steven, Marcus, Dominique "Nikki", Lil Kevin, Kelisa "Missy" and Paul Jr. "Lil Agee", eighteen great grandchildren, one brother, Russell Thompson, three sisters-in-law and a host of other relatives.
