Brian Keith Downs, 42, of Hollywood, MD, died suddenly on August 2, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. He was born on June 18, 1967 in Cheverly, MD, the son of Ralph Wilbur Downs and Patricia Anne Downs who survives. He married Amy Marie Redding on November 18, 1989 and is the youngest of three siblings.

He was a dedicated husband and loving father to his three children, a beloved brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. He loved to fish, hunt and relax on the beach surrounded by family and friends. His presence here with us will be forever missed.

He served in the brotherhood of the Sheet Metal Local 100 for 25 years, currently as the Vice President of Operations with ADJ Sheet Metal.

He is survived by his parents Ralph Wilbur Downs, Sr. and Patricia Anne Downs of Chestertown, MD; his wife Amy Marie Downs, their sons, Dustin Ryan and Jacob Aaron and their daughter Melanie Joy Downs. He is also survived by his brother Ralph Wilbur Downs, Jr., (Carol) of Ridgley, MD, sisters; Diane Marie Klem, (Frederick) of King George, VA and Kathy Lynn Pickens, (Greg) of Oak Grove, VA.

Family will receive friends for Brian's Life Celebration on Thursday, August 6, 2009 from 5pm to 8pm in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD, where prayers will be recited at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Friday, August 7, 2009 at 11am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mechanicsville, MD with Father Peter Alliata officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Peace of Cemetery, Helen, MD.
