James Pearson Hamilton, Jr., 56, of White Plains, MD, died on July 29, 2009, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD. He was born on July 9, 1953 in La Plata, MD.

Mr. Hamilton was a Carpenter for 35 years with the Carpenter's Union and was a member of the La Plata United Methodist Church. He loved fishing, hunting, cooking, Redskins, NASCAR, dancing, and music. Most of all, he loved life and being with people.

He was the son of the late James Pearson Hamilton, Sr. and the living Mary Lou Hamilton.

He was predeceased by his father, and one brother, Timothy S. Hamilton.

He was survived by his mother, Mary Lou Hamilton of Waldorf, MD, his wife, Sherri Lynn Hamilton, one son, Geoffrey W. Hamilton of SC, three daughters, Kelle M. Hamilton of FL, Melissa A. (Robert) Roland of Waldorf, MD, and Sarah E. Hamilton of White Plains, MD, one brother, Daniel A. (Sandra) Hamilton of Bel Alton, MD, and one sister. Teresa A. Foreman of Waldorf, MD. Also survived by four grandchildren, Mariah, Logan, Raegan, and Charlotte.

Visitation: Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 5-8pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 7pm at Raymond Funeral Chapel.

Clergy: Rev. Mark Roberson.

Interment: to follow privately by family.
