Lawrence Edward "Buck" Richardson, 93 of La Plata, MD died on July 27, 2009 at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.

Born on May 24, 1916 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Lillian Evans Richardson. Mr. Richardson retired from Food & Drug Administration as a Contract Specialist. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II. During his time served, he received the Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, and European African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon.

Lawrence was the beloved husband of the late Florence Grace Close Richardson whom he married on August 1, 1942. Brothers, Milton Reed Richardson, Arthur Leroy Richardson, Thomas Richardson, and Raymond Richardson also predecease him.

Survived by his children, Claudia & husband, Dan Sansbury, and Barry Edward Richardson, grandchildren, Jennifer Sansosti, Stephanie Kiesel, and Pam & Scott Sansbury, great-grandchildren, Michael & Ryan Sansosti, Lauren, Shelby, & Sophia Kiesel, Cole & Hunter Sansbury.

Family received friends and celebrated Lawrence's life on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., Charlotte Hall, MD. Interment will be held at a later date at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
