Dorothy "Kitty" Mae Abell, of Lexington Park, MD died July 20, 2009 in Lexington Park, MD.

Born November 27, 1928 in Farmington, WV, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Yeager and Tacy Maxine (Elyett) Yeager.

Kitty loved playing sports, including softball, basketball, and bowling. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, playing bingo and keno.

She is survived by her husband John Walter Abell of Lexington Park, MD whom she married on June 19, 1953 in Leonardtown, MD

Kitty is also survived by her daughter Peggy Bowles of LaPlata and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her son John Robert Abell.

Family will receive friends for Kitty's Life Celebration on Thursday, July 23, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm then 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, Charlotte Hall, with a prayer service to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, July 24, 2009 at the funeral home with the Venerable Rev. Joseph Dobson presiding. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Waldorf, MD.
