Lawrence " Chubby" R. Kendall, Sr. of Nanjemoy, Md. Passed away on July 16, 2009 at Civista Medical Center LaPlata, Md. Chubby was born on May 6, 2009 in Washington, DC. to the late Launzie and Agnes Kendall.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Kendall, son Bobby Kendall and his wife Linda, Daughters Susan Williams and her husband Bruce, Sandy Kendall, Terri Arnold,, and Heidi Harden. Grandchildren Tony Kendall and his wife Takima Monroe, Dawn King and her husband Joe, Robert "Buzzy" Williams and his wife Sarah, Joey Williams and his wife Sandra, Brenda Kendall, Krystal Arnold, Shawn Kendall, and Jesse Kendall. Gr. Grandchildren Devin Ford, Nevaeh Kendall, McKenzie Williams, Owen Williams, Dominic King, Kendall King, Jordyn Kendall, Hope Swan and one Gr. Grandchild on the way. Also survived by many Nieces, Nephews and friends.

Chubby was a professional body and fender man for 65 years at Ourisman - Mandel Chevrolet, Star Pontiac, Kaplin - Crawford and retired from Pohanka Oldsmobile in Marlow Heights, Md. in 1994. He is an active member and Jr. Warden at Old Durham Episcopal Church, Ironsides, Md. He was an avid old car enthusiest, wood worker, hunter, fisherman, builder, mechanic. A man of all trades. He also had a love for motorcycles and boating.

The family will receive friends on Monday July 20th, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home LaPlata, Md. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at Old Durham Episcopal Church Ironsides, Md. at 12 noon. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.
