John Earle "Big John" Fisher, 84, of Nanjemoy, MD, died July 12, 2009, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata, MD.

Mr. Fisher was an animal warden for the Prince George's County Government and a member of Nanjemoy Baptist Church. He was a Notary Public. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Born December 12, 1924, in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late James Winston Fisher and the late Lillie M. Adams Fisher.

Predeceased by his parents; wife, Violet Marie Fisher and son, John Fisher, Jr.

Survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Van Ness of Lexington Park, MD; Thelma Love of SC; Regina Hernandez of Houston, TX; Barbara Dove of Dunkirk, MD; brothers, Allen Fisher of Rockhill, SC; Robert Fisher of Hodges, SC. Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Nanjemoy Baptist Church from 9:30AM to 11AM.

Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 16, 2009, at 11AM at Nanjemoy Baptist Church.

Rev. Michael Zello will officiate.

Interment will be at Nanjemoy Baptist Church Cemetery.

Arrangements provided by Raymond Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Norman Saunders, Sr., Norman Saunders, Jr., Anthony Saunders, Joshua Zello, Michael Sears, Michael Shaffer, David Debruyn and Robert Franklin.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Ken Hastings.
