Grace Elizabeth Voorhaar, 99, died December 5, 2006 at the St. Mary's Nursing Center.

Born on September 12, 1907 in Canaan, NY she was the daughter of the late Edward Day and Katherine Stephenson. She was a homemaker.

Grace was a 50 year member of Julia Hall Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #107. She was also a member of the 1st Bethel Guardian of Bethel International of Job's Daughters #42.

Grace is survived by her four children; Richard J. Voorhaar and his wife Katie of Great Cacapon, WV, Reverend Edward M. Voorhaar and his wife Polly of La Plata, MD, Joan E. Clarke and her husband Mike of Richmond, VA, and Muriel Mae Ciopryna and her husband Mike of Jacksonville, FL, a daughter-in-law, Donna M. Voorhaar of California, MD, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Voorhaar who died on November 20, 1970, and three grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Friday, December 8, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Lexington Park United Methodist Church, Lexington Park, MD where a Funeral Service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. The Reverend Ken Walker will conduct the service. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Great Mills, MD.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons, Edward J. Voorhaar, Benjamin Voorhaar, Matthew Voorhaar, William Bodnar, Adam Bodnar, and Robbie Boettger.
