Joseph I. Evans, 91, of Leonardtown, MD, died on January 15, 2006 in the St. Mary's Nursing Center, Leonardtown, MD.

Born on March 13, 1914 in Hollywood, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph Enoch Evans and Blanche Gertrude Stone Evans. Mr. Evans had worked as a photographer for the Army Map Service.

He is survived by two sons, Joseph C. Evans of Wicomico Church, VA , Michael W. Evans of Piedmont, SC, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ina Louise Mann Evans and a daughter, Kay Castrodale.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 19, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A. in Leonardtown, MD. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 20, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Leonardtown, MD. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
