![]() Rodney Lenwood Lewis, 49, of Bel Alton, MD, died July 9, 2009, at Southern Maryland Hospital, Clinton, MD.
Mr. Lewis was a Heavy Equipment Operator for 10 years with Calvert Cleaning & Excavating, LLC. He attended Charles County Public Schools. He was always a hard worker and he loved to work on cars and attend car shows. Born May 2, 1960, in Washington, DC, he was the son of Harold Bernard Lewis, Sr. and Shirley Rose Gutrick Lewis. Survived by his parents, two brothers, Harold "Bones" Lewis, Jr. and Mark Lewis, one sister, Janice Montgomery, fiancee, Samantha Nevitt, grandmother, Hazel Gutrick, six aunts, Alberta Branson, Annie Warren, Pearl Smith, Geraldine Ward, Betty Ross, and Vyra Cobey, and five uncles, Nathaniel Warren, James Cobey, Robert Gutrick, Robert Ward, and Sylvester Smith. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and many more relative and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15, 2009, from 9:30 - 11AM at Mt. Hope Baptist Church, 8705 Gilroy Road, Nanjemoy, MD 20662. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 11AM at Mt. Hope Baptist Church. Rev. Francis Ford will officiate. Interment will be at Mount Hope Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rodney Lewis Memorial Fund, c/o Shirley Lewis, 7985 Gilroy Road, Nanjemoy, MD 20662.
