![]() Marianne Lee Ballew, 76 of Clements, MD, formerly of Pomonkey, MD, died on (date) at Washington Hospital Center.
Born on November 2, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John Smallwood and Gladys Mae Martin Tarman. Marianne retired as a School Teacher after 35 years for Martin Barr SDA School. She has resided in this area since 2003. She was very active in church with Pathfinders and Boyscouts. She also coordinated activities with Evergreens Apartments in Bowie. Her enjoyments were crocheting, baking cakes, traveling, and loved being with family. Predeceased by husband, William Henry Bell and a brother, John S. Tarman. Survived by her children and spouses, Larry Douglas and Vicki Bell, Beverly Joanne and James Dixon, Vivian Leigh Bell, and William Allan and Joyce Bell, sisters, Jane Kiernan, Rebecca L. Bowers, and Dinah L. Cord, grandchildren, Laura and Jessica Wells, Nicholas, Megan, and Brian Bell, great-grandchildren, Lorien, Lilly, and Jimmy Wells. Family will receive friends to Celebrate Marianne's Life on Sunday, June 28, 2009 from 3-6 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD where Services will held Monday, June 29, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be: Richard Dodson, Rusty Dye, Joseph Kiernan, Dennis and Earl Bell, and Paul Lindsay. Honorary pallbearers will be: Bill Bowers and James Dixon. Memorial contributions may be made to Martin Barr Adventist School, 2365 Bell Branch Rd., Gambrills, MD 21054.
