Wanda Lou Ball, 84, of Waldorf, MD, died June 15, 2009, at her residence.

Mrs. Ball was a Secretary for the Census Bureau in Suitland, MD for 30 years. She was a very active member with Trinity Baptist Church in Waldorf where she was a member of the WOOS Club. She loved gardening in her yard, her dog "Jake" and her bird, driving her Honda car, and being with her grandchildren.

Born September 5, 1924, in Grottos, VA, she was the daughter of the late James Edgar Meyerhoeffer and the late Gladys Cecelia Hudlow.

Predeceased by her parents, her husband, Maurice Elmer Ball, one brother, and one sister.

Survived by her daughters, Cecelia Anne and her husband Dyle Wallace of Lothian, MD, and Wanda Cherie and her husband Joe McCollum of La Plata, MD. Also survived by six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2009, from 5-8PM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Funeral Service will be Friday, June 19, 2009, at 11AM at Raymond Funeral Chapel, La Plata, MD.

Rev. Mike Hilson will officiate.

Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD.

Pallbearers will be Joel McCollum, Craig Wallace, Brendan Beatty, Bruce Cornwell, and Joshua, John, and Kyle Martin.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 11331 Amherst Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20902.
