![]() Bruce Raymond Andrews, 64, of Valley Lee, MD died December 9, 2006 at his residence.
Born April 12, 1942 in Haverhill, MA, he was the son of the late Norman Perry Andrews and Claire Elizabeth Harty Andrews. Bruce retired from the Navy as a CPO in 1982, after spending the majority of his military career at Pax River. He worked with various government contractors when in 1996 he joined the Civil Service as a Logistics Specialist where he worked until his death. In his years of military retirement he earned his BS Degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland. During his children's formative years he was a scout leader of Troop 1785 and baseball coach. He was an avid boater and a member of the Lord Calvert Yacht Club in which he served as Commodore during 1999-2000. Bruce was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Hollywood and a member of the Pap-Po- Peak Shrine Club in Lusby, MD. He is survived by his wife Jean of 43 years and their four children, Robert Andrews of Valley Lee, MD, James Andrews of Great Mills, MD, Rebecca Rivera of Lexington Park, MD, and Claire-Sue Andrews of Great Mills, MD, four grandchildren, Ashley Andrews, Samuel Rivera, Andera Rivera, and Nicholas Andrews, sister, Carol Hayes and her husband Edwin of Richmond, VA, and niece, Stephanie Darby. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 14, 2006 from 5- 8:00 p.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home, P.A., Leonardtown, MD with prayers at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, December 15, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Robert Andrews, James Henry Andrews, Edwin Hayes, Ray Rivera, Owen Meuse, and Jeffrey Darby.
