Carole Christine Yates, 69, of Newburg, MD passed away on June 13, 2009 at the Georgetown University Hospital. She is predeceased by her Parents; John Shymansky and Isabelle Knott Shymansky. Her Brother; John Shymansky, and Edward Shymansky. Her Sister; Gladys Burko.

She is survived by her Husband; Warren A. Yates. Daughter; Jacqueline Todd and her Husband Timothy. Sons; Warren Yates and George Yates and his Wife; Teresa. Sister; Eleanor Boyle. 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

Carole enjoyed Scrap Booking, Family Pictures and taking care of the family Resturant, Capt. John's. She was an active Church member at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Issue, MD. She was a big Redskins fan, a published poet who loved to travel and do Arts & Crafts.

A Life Celebration will be held for Carole on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 from 1 pm until 4 pm and then from 6 pm until 8 pm. During that time, Prayers will be said at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 11 am at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Issue, MD. The Rev. David W. Beaubien will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
